A Second (2nd) Bankruptcy and Your Credit Report This would all depend on what type pf bankruptcy occurred and within what time frame. Chapter 7 bankruptcies where nothing is repaid will take longer to “come off” of your credit report. Chapter 13 takes less time. Please refer to our section on bankruptcy and your credit for more details. However, remember that no one REALLY escapes all traces of a bankruptcy in the past. Credit scores can be improved and those who have been through a bankruptcy can get more loans, but it is usually requiring larger down payments and more. |
