Building Credit While Living Overseas and Without CitizenshipIf a person is not a US citizen it can be very difficult to build a credit rating due to the fact that first, they would need a SSN. If a non-US citizen co-signed on a loan or was able to open a secured line of credit, then possibly they may be able to build good credit history under their name for more advice, it is recommended that the individual contact the credit reporting agencies and/or secured line of credit card companies for more information regarding these matters of building credit without being a US citizen or of the country they are residing in. |
