Cancelling Credit Cards MAY Affect Your Credit RatingNormally it is a good thing to have a longer history of credit card accounts being opened and NOT delinquent. However, having too many open accounts may give you a little woo much available credit which may show creditors that you have a lot of room to really rack up a bit of debt. If you open accounts and immediately rack up debts then pay them and close them, which may show creditors that you are being rather erratic and they may, in response, deny credit due to the strange patterns. Keeping a good credit history with accounts that have been open for a while is a great tool in keeping your credit score high. |
